2006: Marc Zurlinden is preparing the Continuation of U-2-7 to be as authentic as the original.

Mac Tilton, Crew Chief of Milestone Racing, Don Breslauer and myself, the original crew of

Milestone Racing provide the technical expertise for Project Engineer Marc Zurlinden

to create his magic.  We expect to be on the vintage circuit early in 2007.

"Continuation of U-2-7"

The whereabouts of the original Tans-Am championship winning car is uncertain.  The original team members are making every effort to duplicate it down to the tiniest detail.

Tony a2z and Marc Zurlinden discuss Continuation of U-2-7 project with George Folmer at the 2006 Monterey Historics

George Folmer's reaction to bringing back U-2-7: "your going to bring back that Giant Killer?"

We blew away the '68 Javelin team when we were leading "overall" at Bryar until Folmer, frustrated at following us, created an incident that forced us to make an extra pit stop for a tire change.  Mark Donohue's Camaro won overall, George was 2nd in his Javelin and we were 3rd OA , 1st in U-2 category with the U-2-7 911

Remember my 1968 Under 2-Liter Trans-Am champion #7 Porsche

shown in this T-shirt created by Steve Foster?  I called the car: U-2-7.

Tony's career has spanned more than 40 years - thanks to the popularity of vintage racing.
