I thrived, and by the end of 1967, I finished second in the SCCA Northeast Region driving Triumph and Lotus cars for Group 44. |

Group 44 backwards trunk number was Tullius's personal thing on all his cars. Seems it was done mistakenly at one time and since the numbers were already in place, he left the backward 44 number in place. Good Luck that race, Bob believed it was identifying and sparked interesting conversation. SCCA and all the sanctioning bodies including the FIA with the Dodge Dart allowed it. Next to the Spitfire is Dick Gilmartin's / Bob Sharp Racing Datsun, he just left Group 44 as Bob's partner. |
