Front fender dive planes were quickly reinstalled, and the handling was transformed.

Tony and Luigi Chinetti, Jr. "CoCo" teamed up to drive the #0870  312P in the 1970 Sebring 24 Hours Race.  During initial practice on Friday, the Ferrari understeered without the front dive planes.

The 312P retired due to overheating after only 56 laps, but Tony was fast and consistent, so was contracted

My #23 car is almost hidden in the background.  Walking from left to right is John Bouse, a French Resistance freedom fighter who lost an eye when he got captured by the Germans during WWII.  He was a dear friend of Luigi Chenetti Sr.  He was our team manager at the races, especially good at Le Mans.  He always wore a blue blazer with NART lapel emblem.  Classy Guy.  RIP.

The other slender figure facing John is Wayne Sparling, long time friend of Luigi Sr. and expert race car fabricator.  He made special bodies for Luigi's cars as NART specials.  Wayne still resides in Florida.  Good man.
